Pastor Anthony Carter began ministering to a small group of family members and friends during a monthly bible
study. Two years later in January 2000, Pastor Carter announced God's leading to being a church. On April 16, 2000, Truth Baptist Church had its first church service in a small single unit building, which God had provided. Eleven adult members joined during the first service and God has continued to add to the fold. "Truth" soon outgrew the unit and moved into a new unit at the same address that was 3 times the size. After two years at this location, God provided us the opportunity to purchase our own building less than three miles away from our rental facility. Although we are currently in the renovation stage of this building, we know that God will allow us to complete this task so we may dedicate the building back to him.
"Truth" receives its name in reference to John 17:17 "Sanctify them through thy truth; thy word is truth".
Truth Baptist Church seeks to reach all pockets of people with the Gospel, not with the traditions of men but
through door-to-door soul winning and evangelism. Our atmosphere is one that encourages fellowship of the saints yet God's work is approached with sincerity and seriousness. Pastor Carter has a vision that Truth Baptist Church shall one day grow to include a Bible Institute and Christian School.
