Dr. Anthony Carter

Anthony Carter is the founder and Pastor of Truth Baptist Church. Dr. Carter is happily married to his lovely wife Terri and together they have 3 children, a son-in-law and 3 grandchildren.  He was called into the ministry by the Lord Jesus Christ while serving in the U.S. Army in the Republic of Panama.  While serving at Maranatha Baptist Church in Panama as a Deacon and Bus Driver, the Lord called him back to Jacksonville, FL (his hometown) and preach the gospel.  There was never a time from his childhood to the time he went into the military that anyone came to his home with the gospel of Christ although there were several churches in Jacksonville.   Pastor Carter earned a Bachelor of Biblical Studies at Gulf Coast Bible Institute, and a Master of Religious Education, and Doctorate in Pastoral Theology at Andersonville Theological Seminary.  Seeing a need to help his “kinsmen according to the flesh” get grounded int he word of God, Dr. Carter started a weekly bible study in his parents home that started the groundwork to establish Truth Baptist Church.
